Solar Powered Fountains as Garden Water Features

Water features can help to make any garden that bit more special, and knowing that you can achieve that end in an environmentally friendly and economic way is a great encouragement. That can be achieved with solar powered fountains, a great modern innovation not just in water gardens, but also in miniature on patios, terraces and at strategic spots around the garden.

The fact that such fountains are solar powered does not mean they are any less attractive, relaxing, or therapeutic. Using the natural power source of the sun, solar fountains can enhance ponds and other water garden features at low cost and in a variety of designs.

The first picture (left) is a very attractive solar powered water lily fountain. While inhibiting algae growth, and keeping a clean and clear fresh pond, this Lily Floating Water Fountain will jet a stream of water up to 18 inches high when exposed to direct sunlight.
